Gov. Bill Weld Steps Down as Honorary Chairman of the Our America Initiative.

February 14, 2019, Salt Lake City, UT -- Governor Bill Weld has announced that he is stepping down as Honorary Chair of the Our America Initiative, a nonprofit organization. Ron Nielson co-founder, along with Gov. Gary Johnson, of Our America Initiative stated, "Bill Weld is a nationally-recognized advocate for civil liberties and limiting the size and scope of government. Whatever future pursuits are in his path, we know he will continue to fight as a champion for liberty. "

Bill Weld served as Governor of Massachusetts from 1991 to 1997. He has served as an honorary board member of the Our America Initiative and was the Libertarian Party's nominee for Vice-President in the 2016 election, sharing the ticket with presidential candidate Gary Johnson.

The Our America Initiative is a 501(c)4 issue advocacy organization which promotes the liberty movement in all 50 states. Our America is also a leader in efforts to level the playing field for third parties and independent candidates. OAI, with hundreds of thousands of supporters across the country, provides a needed avenue for those who reject the partisan extremes of today's political discussion.
