Lobby Day 2015

April, 2015 - Ohio's Our America Lobby Day includes not just a day advocating at the state legislature, but also emails at anytime during the year in which the legislature is in session.  For 2015 Our America supports the goal of Ohio Families Cann on the need for legal, medical use of cannabis and related products.  Currently, legislation (HB 33, by Rogers and Retherford) is pending to allow doctor prescribing of marijuana-derived oil, but only for epileptic patients.  And this Fall's ballot may have two initiatives, one to allow medicinal marijuana and another to allow legal marijuana (but only for a restricted group of suppliers).  We urge legislators to add to HB 33 an amendment provided by Ohio Patients Cann, to allow unrestricted entry into the medical marijuana market for any researchers and suppliers who pass private certification.  Not only will we advocate for a more open market for legal, medical marijuana, but also Our America Initiative will advocate other bills and proposals to reduce government power and restore individual rights.  If you have suggestions for bills or proposals to advocate, please contact Bob at Our America's Ohio page.  If you can't get to Columbus to meet with politicians, emails from your laptop are critical too!  Share please any response you get at Our America's Ohio Facebook page.

The OUR America Initiative is a 501(c)(4) political advocacy committee and may receive unlimited donations from both individual and corporate donors. Contributions and gifts to Our America Initiative are not deductible for Federal income tax purposes. Our America Initiative has a no refunds policy.
